The Whole Nine Yards!

Welcome again everyone!!!!! Thank You so much for coming back to my Pregnancy post. I've already told you a little bit about myself and what to kind of expect when you find out that you are pregnant. In this post we are going to talk about the 3 trimesters that happen when you are pregnant. And a few things to look out for when you go through each trimester.
For the first trimester this is both exciting and frustrating. The first trimester last from 1 to 12 weeks. This is the time where you will begin to feel mood swings, cravings, swollen breasts, morning sickness, more pee breaks and more. This is also the time you might need to start changing your daily routines. Even though you wont be showing as much in this trimester, you still will feel a lot of these symptoms. My mom always use to say that it is bad luck to tell someone that you are pregnant while you are in your first trimester.....i'm not sure how true that is or not, but I don't want to take that chance!
The second trimester last from 13 to 28 weeks. This is the time when you truly begin to see your body start to change and the annoying "can I touch your belly" questions begin to happen. Now in this trimester some women might find that it is a lot easier than the first one and that could be because they are use to it. But there are plenty of changes that will happen to you in this stage. Your body goes under a lot of physical changes. Stretch marks everywhere, body aches, dark patches, changes in your breast, swelling, itching and more.
The third trimester last from 29 to 40 weeks. And now you are ALMOST DONE!!!!! A lot of the same symptoms will stay with a few new ones. You might experience tender breasts, heartburn, shortness of breath, trouble sleeping, and you might feel the baby dropping. All of these are normal and you are almost done, your beautiful miracle is on its way. So heads up if you see a pregnant woman, cut her some slack. this process has not been easy and it seems like it has been happening forever!

  1. I was honestly pretty shocked when you mentioned that a lot of women think that the second trimester is easier than the first one! Maybe that is because during the first trimester they are still in shock and are not used to what it's like to be pregnant. It seems like with every trimester there are unwanted annoying signs like the mood swings, body aches, swollen breasts, etc. I bet once the baby is born then the symptoms are completely worth it. I already know that I want a big family someday. I am excited for the future and it is very nice to learn more about what those experiences will be like. I appreciate this topic!

  2. I have always heard about the first trimester being the worst and your mom is right about not telling people because that is when most miscarriages occur (I know of some woman who have had that happen). You also explained some occurrences of the last two trimesters and it sounds like a lot of trouble but also so many woman say it is worth it so maybe on day some of us might be having kids.

  3. This post makes it known that women go through a lot when they're pregnant. Even though they go through so much, the symptoms they encounter is all for the baby. The stretch marks they receive should be seen as a job well done in carrying a precious gift; they literally "earned their stripes." Knowing this information can get me prepared for when I decide to have kids, so thanks for the heads up! It may seem like a miserable journey, but the symptoms won't last always; knowing that after all the pain and struggles is going to bring them a bundle of joy is something to look forward to in the end.

  4. Every time I have a situation with my body such as swollen breasts, weird periods and look it up it immediately says I am pregnant. Literally any thing happening to a women leads to pregnancy as the diagnosis on webmd. Scary! I have heard about mood swings, swollen breasts, I even heard nipples darken and get bigger. Everyone experiences different symptoms so is there anyway to know you are pregnant in the first trimester? After reading this post.. pregnancy doesn't sound fun. I think I am going to make my sister have my baby.

  5. Hey Tiffany! I never knew that some women would prefer the 2nd trimester over the 1st one. I would assume that the 2nd one would be worst actually because a lot of things happen to the woman body in the 2nd trimester, but after reading the reasoning I can see why they would prefer it over the 1st. I am really curious why it's bad luck to tell someone that your pregnant when your still in the 1st trimester.

  6. I've never heard about keeping your first trimester a secret, that is very interesting I'm very curious to know where that came from! I loved this post I kind of knew the basics of each trimester but you went into detail about each. With all those symptoms being pregnant sounds miserable! I know a lot of women loved their pregnancy but I'm sure they're referring to the outcome not the actual pregnancy but everyone has different experiences as well.

  7. Tiffany,

I like how you point out the many struggles of pregnancy and the toll it takes on the body. It's a difficult and life changing process that can effect your health, emotions, and mental state. I don't think people realize the lengths you have to go when you're carrying another human. Trimesters are brutal! But pregnancy is such a beautiful process.
